It takes practice to laugh at yourself when you go down the “poor-me-memory-lane.” I find that I talk to my younger self and tell her that she screwed up for sure and wasn’t it a laugh that she survived as long as she has. Then I thank my guardian angel for all her patience with me. Really, can you imagine what a workout we give our beloved angel. The mental image cracks me up.
Once I get all this into perspective, I can then focus on asking: “How can I make a different choice or outcome?” I keep asking the question when the doubt seeps in and trust that the answer will come.
Will you laugh and ask today?
