KC: Even though they think their way is THE only way and try to convince me that I’m wrong. I’m open to a new a NEW reaction.
KC: Even though they really irritate me when they put MY way down and discount my view instead of just “disagreeing”- I’m open to a new reaction.
KC: Even though it really hurts my feelings when they laugh and put my opinion down. I choose to realize that is a reflection of their self worth rather than a devaluing of mine.
EB: I’m tired of having my opinions discounted
SE: It really hurts
UE: I’m entitled to my practices and opinions
UN: I work really hard on my personal growth
CH: I don’t put them down
CB: I am developing resentments though
UA: I don’t want to
TH: But they just don’t respect me
EB: They think their way is THE ONLY WAY
SE: That is intolerant
UE: There are many ways to reach the same result
UN: I’m tired of being discounted and laughed at
CH: I’m tired of being treated like a child
CB: I’m tired of the condescension
UA: I’m tired of being treated so rudely
TH: What if it’s just a stage of awakening for them
EB: I remember how zealous I was in the beginning
SE: How closed off I was to new WAYS of thinking etc
UE: Maybe they are where I was and I’ve forgotten that
UN: OOPS, I’m sorry
CH: Maybe I can smile inside and remember how it was for me and how obnoxious I appeared to others
CB: Thank you for reminding me of the shame and embarrassment I never cleared in myself
UA: I’m sorry to all those I overwhelmed with MY way or the highway thinking
TH: I just need to give them room to grow and mature
Breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth- ahhhh
CB: Giving them a wide berth to grow and mature. It’s okay to just listen and not comment and believe what I know to be true. It’s okay to let them learn to grow in tolerance. I can accept them where they are. That is the respectful thing to do even if it is not how they treat me. Love is respectful and THAT is the way I choose to respond.
Well, have a great weekend and if you run across the MY WAY or the HIGHWAY people remember they are like little children who are maturing. Ask yourself what would LOVE do--- tap on the CB and say “I’m sorry to those I offended in the past, please forgive me, I love you, and thank you for forgiving me.”
