Sometimes family members need to tap on how your cancer will affect
them.  Let’s borrow benefits to tap some charge off.

KC: Even though I’m really afraid she won’t make it I acknowledge my feelings and choose to love myself
KC: Even though I don’t know how strong I can remain---I acknowledge my fears and love myself
KC: Even though I don’t know what I will do without her I acknowledge this and choose to focus on just today 
 
EB: What if she dies
SE: What will I do
UE: I can’t do this
UN: I’m scared
CH: I feel overwhelmed
CB: I don’t want to do this
UA: What if I say the wrong thing
TH: What if I can’t be supportive enough

EB: What if I say the wrong thing
SE: I acknowledge how scary this is
UE: I acknowledge how afraid I am
UN: I acknowledge how much I’ll miss her
CH: What if I focus on today
CB: I have her in my life today
UA: I can show up relaxed and loving
TH: That’s the beset support

EB: I can tap in the car on the way to the hospital
SE: Choosing to be calm and supportive
UE: Choosing that the universe will help me get through whatever happens
UN: Support
CH: Trusting that she and I are supported by the universe
CB: Letting myself feel my fear and tap it out
UA: Letting myself tap and show up calm and relaxed
TH: Supported and Supportive

Once treatment begins tapping really helps with pain management. 
Let’s borrow benefits and tap some charge off.

KC: Even though the thought of chemotherapy and what it does to the
body terrifies me---I acknowledge and honor my feelings and love and accept myself
KC: Even though the idea of how painful the treatment is---I acknowledge my fear and love myself anyway
KC: Even though I don’t want that poison in my body---I acknowledge that it might turn out to be the life-elixir that my body needs right now and I want to shift my thinking around chemotherapy 

EB: Chemotherapy is poison
SE: You get violently sick
UE: Your urine smells
UN: It’s poison
CH: It’s painful
CB: I don’t want to poison my body
UA: This fear of the procedure
TH: I don’t want to do it again

EB: Why would I want to poison my body
SE: Why would I want to go through all that pain
UE: Poison
UN: But what if it saved my life
CH: What if it was my magic life-elixir
CB: What if it works
UA: Maybe if I see it as life-saving that will help with the pain
TH: Choosing to see it as life-saving-elixir

EB: I choose to accept this life-elixir into my body
SE: I choose to see it helping me
UE: I choose to see it not as poison but as a life-elixir
UN: I choose to see it as healing energy
CH: I choose to see it as helping me
CB: I embrace the healing energy
UA: I choose NOT to not fight the side-effects
TH: Letting the side-effects not be so bad as before

Sometimes the fear of the procedure and through you into panic and affect
your breathing---and even block the benefits of the treatment.  Let’s
borrow benefits and tap some charge off.

KC: Even though I’m terrified to start this cancer treatment I acknowledge my fears and want to remain calm and confident
KC: Even though I have all this fear and anxiety and can’t even breathe I choose to remain calm and confident 
KC: Even though I have all this fear and I can’t breathe I choose to relax
and breathe

EB: I can’t breathe
SE: I’m scared
UE: I don’t want to do this
UN:I’m feel overwhelmed and scared
CH: I acknowledge how I feel
CB: This light-headed feeling
UA: If I could just take a deep breathe
TH: I can’t relax

EB: All this constriction and fear
SE: What would it be like to take a deep breathe
UE: Deep breathes relax you
UN: What if I just closed my eyes and allowed myself to breathe
CH: Ahhh, imagine I am by the ocean and breathing in the sea air
CB: Ahhhh, letting the healing sea air fill and heal my lungs
UA: Letting go of the tension in my body
TH: Just for this moment I give my body permission to relax

EB: Letting my body relax
SE: Letting my lungs fill with air
UE: All the way from the bottom to the top of my lungs
UN: Letting it be easy and relaxing
CH: Exhaling the fear
CB: Breathing in and out
UA: Easily and gently
TH: Letting myself relax

CB:  Choosing to breathe and relax so I can help my body heal

When the limiting thoughts come back tap on the UE and say: “I give myself permission to remain calm and relaxed.”

When you are in fear you are anxious and this interferes with your ability to
make clear decisions regarding treatment options.  Let’s borrow benefits
and tap off some stress and overwhelm.

KC: Even though everyone has an opinion on what I should do---I acknowledge that I’m overwhelmed and would like some calm and clarity around what to do
KC: Even though I don’t know what to do---I admit I’m confused and
overwhelmed and would like to be calm and clear
KC: Even though I’m afraid of making the wrong treatment decision and this makes me crazy ---I am open to tapping in some calmness and clarity

EB: I might make the wrong decision
SE: I don’t know who to listen to
UE: I feel overwhelmed
UN: I don’t want to make the wrong decision
CH: I feel stuck
CB: All this fear
UA: All this anxiety
TH: All this pressure

EB: What if I don’t choose the right treatment
SE: What if I can’t calm down
UE: What if I make the right decision
UN: I’m open to relaxing just for now so I can hear and feel what’s right
for me
CH: That I can relax for just an hour to get through the meeting with
the doctor
CB: I can finger tap during the doctor’s visit
UA: I choose to be calm for the visit
TH: I choose to be calm and clear

EB: Allowing clarity to come to me
SE: Knowing I will make the right decision
UE: That I’ll FEEL what makes sense

UN: A lot of people die from CANCER
CH: It’s a scary
CB: It means life or death to me
UA: I don’t want to think about it

EB: I hate that word
SE: I don’t like this
UE: It’s just a word
UN: Lots of people survive
CH: I choose to focus on the survival aspect of that word

TH: I choose to focus on options and not the WORD

As a cancer survivor I can attest to the fact that tapping helps in all areas
of the experience and recovery.  Let’s borrow benefits and tap some charge off---if you know someone who has cancer you can surrogate tap (empathy) for what they are going through.

KC: Even though I can’t forget when they told me I had cancer I want to love and accept my feelings
KC: Even though that day replays in my head like a bad movie I deeply love and accept myself
KC: Even though I feel frozen in time from time to time I deeply love and accept myself

EB: Damn movie playing in my head
SE: I can’t stop replaying it
UE: That foggy feeling
UN: Nothing was in focus
CH: ME---how can this be
CB: Not me
UA: I’m diagnosed with WHAT
TH: I can’t forget it

EB: I acknowledge my fear
SE: I acknowledge my confusion
UE: I acknowledge I barely heard a word
UN: I want this movie out of my head
CH: I don’t want to think about it
CB: I honor my feelings
UA: The word
TH: I don’t know what to do

EB: What will happen
SE: What happened
UE: I know for sure I love myself
UN: I know for sure I can love myself
CH: I know for sure I have a tool to deal with the emotions that will come up
CB: I can tap on my fears
