Sometimes work or life just is demanding and we can feel overwhelmed and drained.  Let’s borrow benefits and tap come charge off  Pt 2

KC: Even though society says---do more and sacrifice your free time for the job---I want to rethink this
KC: Even though I want to do a great job and excel---at what cost
KC: Even though I keep getting the messages to do more and relax less---I think I’m gonna tap this out


EB: Do more
SE: Vacation less 
UE: Work longer hours
UN: Shorter lunch breaks
CH: Work through lunch
CB: Yep, society sure seems to want me to burn out
UA: Truth is---if I don’t comply my boss will fire me
TH: I just don’t know what to do


EB: I don’t think I can ever stop
SE: All this pressure to perform up to someone else’s standards
UE: No wonder I get sick
UN: All this pressure is too much
CH: How can I stop the insanity
CB: Well, I can pause to tap on the frustration
UA: To take a minute to tap out the brain fog
TH: That will help me relax


EB: I can do my deep breathing as I work
SE: I choose to slow down
UE: To slow down enough to breathe and tap
UN: It’s just for a minute
CH: A release valve to release the stress
CB: To keep it from building up
UA: Then I can pace myself and know I am taking care of myself
TH: Just cause society says I have to work more


Breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth- ahhhh

CB: I can tap out the resentment and get one over on them

When the limiting thoughts come back tap on the UE and say or think: I don’t have to hold onto the stress, overwhelm and resentment---I win

KC: Even though there is SO much to do at work---I have enough for 3 people to do---I honor and acknowledge how I feel
KC: Even though I’m so stressed and overwhelmed with the amount of work I have to do---I acknowledge how I feel
KC: Even though I don’t see how I’ll ever get it all done---I choose to pause and tap out some overwhelm


EB: WOW, all this work
SE: I’ll never get it all done 
UE: I don’t even know where to begin
UN: I’ll never get it done
CH: they just keep giving me more
CB: Who do they think I am
UA: I’m only one person
TH: I can’t do it


EB: I have to do it or get fired
SE: I can’t relax
UE: I feel guilty even tapping
UN: Too much
CH: I can choose to relax
CB: To focus on one thing at a time
UA: Chipping away
TH: It ALL has to be done now


EB: So---focus on one thing at a time
SE: I choose to take a breathe
UE: What pops out at me
UN: I’ll do that first
CH: That will lead me though the process
CB: Every hour I’ll pause and tap for a few rounds
UA: Take a breath
TH: Choosing to relax as I do one thing at a time

CB: I choose to not focus on the amount of work; but, rather on one thing at a time

Sometimes we use overwhelm as an excuse not to get quiet and listen to what is really going on inside of ourselves.  Let’s borrow benefits and tap some charge off.

KC: Even though I’m afraid to get quiet and still---I acknowledge this and honor myself as well
KC: Even though I’m afraid to feel my feelings---I honor and acknowledge this
KC: Even though I’m afraid there still won’t be an answer----I acknowledge all my fears and choose to be open to all this changing 
 
EB: I’m afraid
SE: What if my emotions are too overwhelming
UE: What if I don’t get an answer to my problems
UN: I have too much to do
CH: I can’t just sit quietly for 3 minutes
CB: I don’t want to be disappointed in myself
UA: I don’t want to feel the sadness
TH: No wonder I’d rather stay in overwhelm

EB: What if I could just notice the pain and disappointment
SE: What if I just asked for help to see what is right about my life
UE: What if I just noticed what emotions arise
UN: What if I just let the tears flow
CH: What if I let it be okay to feel the pain
CB: What if I let it be okay to be afraid
UA: What if I was kind to myself and let myself just feel
TH: Just for 3 minutes each day

EB: That might take the edge off the overwhelm
SE: I might start accepting myself more
UE: I might take more risks
UN: I’d be calmer
CH: Letting off the pressure
CB: Letting myself just be okay
UA: Crying is okay
TH: 90 seconds of letting the sadness go

Breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth- ahhhh

CB: Today I will be kind to myself and let myself feel the feelings for 3 minutes

When the limiting thoughts come back tap on the UE and say or think: “I can choose to feel and let it go----I am willing to be kind to myself for at least 3 minutes today”

Sometimes we are afraid of what will change if we get clarity and our resistance gets in the way of our success.  Let’s borrow benefits and tap some charge off.

KC: Even though I’m addicted to my routine---I’m afraid if I get clarity my routine will change and I don’t deal with change well
KC: Even though I’m afraid that if I gain clarity I’ll have to change and I acknowledge that I’d
rather be overwhelmed on one level
KC: Even though I want clarity---I also don’t want my routine to change and I acknowledge I feel conflicted and overwhelmed even more

EB: I’m afraid to change
SE: I like my routine
UE: I resent change
UN: I don’t care if it is good for me
CH: I don’t want to
CB: Okay, so I don’t like this overwhelm either
UA: I don’t like to have to be inconvenienced
TH: I’m scared

EB: What if I can’t handle it
SE: What if I don’t like trying new things
UE: What if the new way doesn’t work
UN: All that energy
CH: All that time
CB: No wonder I avoid clarity
UA: What if change and doing it differently
TH: Is what I have to do to gain clarity

EB: What if it is what I need to see what is blocking my success
SE: That’s nonsense
UE: What if---what if it fails
UN: I’ll still be overwhelmed
CH: And, maybe I’ll see a solution
CB: Maybe it will be just the push I need to try something even more outside of my comfort zone to push me into my greatness
UA: If I don’t try I won’t know
TH: Change

CB: I don’t like change and I don’t like my life right now either----what have I got to loose

When the limiting thoughts come back tap on the UE and say or think: “I give myself permission to see what is right about the change instead of what is wrong about the change”

Sometimes we are overwhelmed around finances and don’t know what to do first.  Let’s borrow benefits and tap some charge off so we know what to do first.

KC: Even though I feel so overwhelmed about my finances and lack of money---I acknowledge this and choose to relax just for a few minutes so I can get some perspective
KC: Even though I feel so overwhelmed abound my financial situation---I acknowledge that it can’t be resolved in one day and choose to relax just for a few moments
KC: Even though there just isn’t enough money---I choose to relax just for a moment so I can think clearer and perhaps allow a solution to surface in my brain

EB: Yikes, I can’t stand it
SE: I’m out of control
UE: I can’t see a solution
UN: I can’t see a way out
CH: I feel trapped
CB: I feel overwhelmed
UA: How can I be successful
TH: When I’m so stressed out

EB: My financial situation is overwhelming
SE: There is no solution 
UE: Nothing is working
UN: I’m so overwhelmed and desperate
CH: No wonder I can’t think clearly
CB: No wonder I can’t think outside the box
UA: All this overwhelm is creating more overwhelm
TH: Maybe just for today I can relax

EB: Just focus on what I can do
SE: Realize that I am looking for solutions in a calm fashion
UE: Doing what I can in the hour I set aside to look for solutions
UN: Pay what I can
CH: Be as responsible as I can
CB: Loving myself
UA: Letting my body relax
TH: Choosing to focus on what I am doing that is proactive

Breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth- ahhhh

CB: Letting go of focusing on what is wrong and instead focusing on what I am doing right

When the limiting thoughts come back tap on the UE and say or think: “I choose to let go of focusing on the negative and choose to focus on relaxing and doing what I can do”

When we are overwhelmed and others need us to do things for them it’s often hard to say NO.  Let’s borrow benefits and tap some charge off----it may be time to set boundaries or delegate duties and even ask for help.  Now that increases success. 

KC: Even though I feel guilty when I say NO to people – I acknowledge that often I enable others so they’ll like me
KC: Even though I feel guilty saying NO to people---sometimes it’s because I don’t think they can do it as well as I think I can do it
KC: Even though I can rationalize to the nth degree why I can’t say NO---I acknowledge that I’m adding to my overwhelm and am ready to let some of that guilt and anxiety go

EB: I can’t say NO to people
SE: I can do it better
UE: I can do it faster
UN: I feel guilty saying NO
CH: I always did it for them
CB: I admit I’m overwhelmed and this isn’t working
UA: It’s okay to ask them to do the best they can
TH: It’s okay to let others learn to do some things for themselves

EB: They don’t have to be perfect
SE: I don’t have to be perfect
UE: Most things don’t have to be perfect
UN: Seeing the difference
CH: Saying YES to everything is NOT working
CB: It’s okay to say NO sometimes
UA: Letting go of the guilt just today
TH: Letting myself say NO

EB: It’s okay
SE: As long as I’m clear and calm when I say NO
UE: If they get upset it’s okay
UN: The world will not come to an end
CH: I can’t enable everyone forever
CB: I can’t please everyone
UA: I need to balance what is the best for myself and others
TH: Letting myself say NO---just for today

Breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth- ahhhh

CB: Right now I can say NO to the phone call or whatever I’d rather do---like cleaning to avoid my TO DO LIST----letting myself say NO to myself when I want to run

When the limiting thoughts come back tap on the UE and say or think: “I can focus on what has to be done 1 hour at a time and say NO to myself or others with easy, joy and kindness”

When you are overwhelmed you can’t think straight and then you block money, love, bliss, success, etc.  Let’s borrow benefits and tap some charge off.

KC: Even though I’m so overwhelmed I can’t think straight---I acknowledge this and am open to letting some of it go
KC: Even though my body and mind are racing and even feel frozen at the same time---I acknowledge this and am open to letting some of this go
KC: Even though I can’t imagine thinking straight I give my body permission to calm down just for now

EB: I’m so overwhelmed
SE: I don’t know what to do
UE: I feel Frozen
UN: My mind is racing
CH: I can’t move
CB: Now I’m going in circles
UA: I feel crazy
TH: I can’t think straight

EB: I’m so overwhelmed
SE: I hate this
UE: I feel really stupid
UN: I don’t know what to do
CH: I can barely breathe
CB: Too much to do
UA: I can’t do it all
TH: My chest is tight

EB: Ahhh, breathe
SE: Letting myself relax just for a moment
UE: Maybe I can break it down into sections
UN: Rotate what has to be done
CH: Maybe do one thing for an hour
CB: Record where I left off and then
UA: One other thing for an hour
TH: Letting myself focus on one hour at a time

Breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth- ahhhh

CB: I will also schedule one hour of fun in between 4 hours of work

When the limiting thoughts come back tap on the UE and say or think: “It’s okay to schedule fun even when overwhelmed---it’s time to be kind to myself---if I give myself 2 fun breaks I won’t resent all I have to do”

Overwhelming emotions

What about strong emotions that result from a loss or bad news?  Let’s borrow benefits and take some charge off.

KC: Even though I can’t believe what I just heard and feel like I’m drowning in emotions I honor and acknowledge how I feel and love and accept myself
KC: Even though I feel crazy and out of control and there isn’t anything I can do to fix the situation --- I acknowledge my sense of loss and frustration and love and accept myself
KC: Even though I’m embarrassed at how overwhelming my emotions are I acknowledge this and love and accept myself anyway

EB: WOW- I can’t believe how frustrated and angry I am
SE: I can’t seem to control my emotions
UE: They are all over the place
UN: It’s too much
CH: What will people think
CB: All these tears
UA: All this emotion
TH: I don’t understand

EB: I’m just gonna honor the process and see what is revealed
SE: I honor my feelings
UE: If I keep them bottled up I’ll get stuck and make wrong choices
UN: Honoring my feelings
CH: I feel so bad
CB: I feel out of control
UA: I don’t know what to do
TH: Just allowing myself to feel the feelings

EB: Choosing to just feel the feelings
SE: Letting them flow
UE: Trusting the process
UN: Letting my feelings and me be okay
CH: Choosing to feel them and return to calm
CB: Choosing to stay present and honor my feelings
UA: Choosing to feel them and return to calm
TH: Calm

Breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth- ahhhh
 
CB: Choosing to feel the feelings and know that in the present after the feelings run their course I will return to calm and confident.

When the anger persists or comes back tap on the UE and say: “I honor and acknowledge my feelings and know that I can return to calm and centered and confident in the end---no matter how long it takes.”

Change- I can’t keep up with the changes

There are so many stressors when you start to change---the resistance can block you.  Relax and take each stressor one at a time---let’s borrow benefits and tap.

KC: Even though I want to embrace change---I admit that I’m afraid I won’t be able to keep up with all the changes.  I honor my fears and choose to love and accept myself.
KC: Even though I’m sure being successful is going to be too much for me to handle and I’ll end up failing.  I don’t want that to happen but I’m afraid it will.  I honor and accept my fears and choose to love and accept myself anyway.
KC: Even though I’m afraid if I make these changes it won’t last---because that’s what I was told and believed---I acknowledge my fears and choose to love and accept myself anyway.

EB: I can’t keep up with the changes
SE: It’s too much
UE: I’ll have to sacrifice some things
UN: It’s not fair
CH: Why bother
CB: I’ll get resentful
UA: Success requires commitment and sacrifice
TH: I don’t know if I can

EB: It doesn’t sound like fun
SE: It’s too hard
UE: I’ll have to give up too much
UN: I’ll just fail anyway
CH: Everyone will say “I told you so”
CB: I’ll be embarrassed
UA: But what if I let it be fun
TH: What if I thought of it as an exciting adventure

EB: When I’m on vacation I don’t regret giving things up for a bit
SE: I ask for help from strangers and tour guides
UE: I could think of this as an adventure
UN: This might turn out okay
CH: I love having fun
CB: Success could be fun
UA: Oprah looks like she’s having fun
TH: I want more fun in my life

CB: Everyday and in everyway I give myself permission to  let it be fun---to see all these changes as opportunities to choose a fun solution to the problem. 
 
When fear starts creeping in tap on the UE and say: “I give myself permission to ask “how can I look for a solution from the perspective of FUN.” I choose fun.

Sometimes feeling OVERWHELMED can show up as stuck or frozen behavior, and can be qite frustrating.

Try this to help get you moving erergetically or physically.  It might be you (like me) are just in an old habit (response).

KC: Even though I can't seem to figure out what to do next.  I accept my frustration.
KC: Eventhough I seem to freeze when I HAVE to figure out how to solve certain problems.  I love and accept myslef and my feelings.
KC: Even though I want to believe I can figure things out---at times it sure doesn't feel that way.  I accept how stuck I feel right now.

EB: All this confusion and frustration
SE: What to do next
UE: How to solve this conundrum
UN: I can't do it
CH: I'm stuck
CB: No, I'm not
UA: Yes, I am
TH: No, you are just creating more of the same old stuck behavior

EB: No, I'm not--- this is differenet
SE: Is it
UE: Why do I keep repeating the same behavior
UN: Maybe, it's an irritating habit
CH: Maybe I could tap it out
CB: I bet I can
UA: I can give myslef permission to change
TH: I can choose to make a decision

EB: I don't have to be perfect
SE: I can correct my mistakes---it's not the end of the world
UE: I CAN create a new ongoing habit over time
UN: I can start creating a new outcome with this one decision
CH: I can start feeling better about myself now
CB: I can choose easy and effortless as my solution
UA: What would love choose
TH: I can answer that---Love doesn't have an agenda-- that makes it easier to decide now

Breathe in thrugh the nose adn out through the mouth---ahhhh
CB: AHHH, my personal "wants" were getting in teh way---I can start letting go of my old habits after all
