KC: Even though overeating or eating the wrong foods started out innocently enough. It soon became my body’s enemy and I honor and acknowledge this and choose to love myself anyway.
KC: Even though I now turn to food as my source of comfort. I acknowledge this is an old habit and I choose to let the uncomfortable feelings come up as I love myself enough not to overeat in the present.
KC: Even though I turn to food to bond with others and can’t watch TV without it I choose to work on changing this one moment at a time.
EB: I’m just gonna set myself up for failure
SE: I won’t be able to do it
UE: I’ll forget
UN: It will be too hard
CH: I’ll DIE from the discomfort
CB: I’ll go CRAZY
UA: I don’t want to do this
TH: It’s too uncomfortable
EB: I’ve tried cutting back
SE: I’ve tried everything
UE: Oh sweetie, I’m so sorry you are in so much pain
UN: The body gets addicted to food and habits and creates withdrawal pains and mental twists to keep you trapped
CH: It does
CB: Yes, it wants to keep you “safe”
UA: Ask yourself if you are “safe” before you start to eat
TH: Just start there for today
EB: Am I safe right now
SE: I’m scared and overwhelmed I have this and that to do and deal with
UE: But, are you safe
UN: Yes, but
CH: Are you safe
UA: Are you safe now
Breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth- ahhhh
CB: Maybe ---just for right now I can hug a pillow while watching TV. Remembering---I am worthy and deserving of good health and good eating habits.
Tap as you watch TV--- you can even tap on the sides of each finger where the nail meets the skin. Ex. right index finger can tap on the outside of the thumb, then the thumb taps on the other fingers as to work your way down to the pinky. Each tap is 5-7 times per finger.
